Fiona Goh, Prize Director, said:”It’s a pleasure to announce the 6 authors shortlisted for the SI Leeds Literary Prize 2024, whose ambitious and eclectic submissions span a range of settings, genres and styles. The Prize’s entrants bring a fresh take to some really challenging social issues, and their work has inspired detailed and passionate discussions by our judging panel. We look forward to announcing the winner of the 2024 Prize in mid-November, and to welcoming a new cohort of brilliant writers to the Prize family. All our longlisted writers receive a variety of development support from the Prize, ranging from mentoring sessions to workshops, marketing support and training, in addition to the cash awards and manuscript reads for our winning writers, and we know that being part of a supportive creative community is of real benefit to a sustainable career in writing for our alumnae.”
